Significant upgrades to electric vehicle (EV) batteries are expected to be available in the next five years. These advancements have been in development for decades and are projected to result in EVs being more cost-effective than gas vehicles by 2030. Rapid charging capabilities, comparable to filling up at a gas station, will be achieved, and EVs with long-range capabilities will alleviate range anxiety. Previous attempts to replace existing lithium-ion battery technology in EVs have not delivered as promised, leading to disappointment among consumers and investors.
